monument at the hill cumorah
my mom flew in for another visit~ we are SO spoiled and love having her here!!! she came early, early friday morning and we headed to palmyra, ny. it was AWESOME! such a neat place to visit and to see. it was such a surreal feeling to actually be standing in these places that i have learned about my whole life. it was surreal to think of the events that took place in the exact places that we were standing! very neat! we first went to the hill cumorah then to the smith's farm and the sacred grove. what a fun day! ej was definitely not loving the carseat by the evening. it was a long ride home. i think it was harder on me than her! i felt bad making her stay in her car seat for so long~ she just wanted to be held and played with. we stopped at gas stations and rest stops to get her out and play along the way. i think the drive across the country is going to be a lot harder than we thought :( lots of stops and short driving days. we have considered driving at nights because she sleeps so well.... we'll see :)

i really wish i could see the grove in full bloom with all the leaves... next time maybe!

How neat to be able to see such amazing places. You will find that traveling with kiddos is so not as cute and fun as you thought it should be. Short drives will now take hours :). I didn't know you were driving home...
Palmyra was so neat. I loved it there! Thanks for taking me along-- I have to come back with Brent and Cart!!
I'm so glad you guys went to Palmyra... It is so neat! You'll definately have to go back when there are leaves on the trees... it makes a big difference!
