Fall Festivities!

ej got a note from "a super adorable boy named teegan" at school. "we are holding hands and there is heart following along with us".
 umm, how adorable our these old-school chairs! bought these for the new house!
 didn't you know that batman actually lives in Menan, Idaho!?
 ...and he fixes tables too! even if they aren't even broken! that is how good he is.

 working along....

 chilly weather calls for gear!
School pictures!
 .... and we did another day of this. boy is stubborn!
 EJ's school had a really fun carnival! She wanted to Minnie Mouse and she TOTALLY threw people off with her black hair. She does look so different!!!
 andd Jake couldn't get enough of his costume either! SO FUN!

 WE ARE LOVING FALL!!!!!

lloyd home version 2.0 rolls on...

{25Sept14}
this was the first wall to be done on the main floor! WaHoO!!!! For some strange reason the engineer at Idaho Falls City didn't like our house plans very much. A couple of things he required : 1) framing 95% of the basement?! {which, no doubt we will appreciate when it comes time to finish it}. 2) Sheet almost the entire house. YES, we have particle board SHEETS on every wall {even on some in the basement}, 3) We had to use a couple different beams throughout the house due to the larger spans between rooms. Just kinda weird, random things that Devan has never heard of. Oh well.

this week were in California but we *kinda* have some awesome neighbors that took pics for us and sent them! It was awesome!

 {01October14}
......still at Disneyland getting awesome updates!

 {05October14}
We flew home from Disneyland on Saturday, stayed the night at grandma & grandpa's, and on our drive back to Menan we stopped by the house.

{08October14}
I took these pictures to send to family. Then found out mom, dad, and kailey plus kids were headed to Idaho that coming weekend so I made them wait to see the house.

framing getting *extremely* close
 10/17 we got our cabinet specs. this kitchen has been no small thing to try and get put together. I am sure our builder is ready to *kill* me over it BUT (!!!) to my defense, at least i know what i want, right?! haha. there will be windows cut out but we are waiting until we have cabinets confirmed as to where the windows will be :)

 {20October14}
i am so excited to have gotten to this point with such great weather. We've had chilly mornings and lots of wind BUT only 2 days of rain delay {while we were in California}. Hopefully SOON we will get roof, windows, & wrap on so we can weather proof this bad boy!

It has been a lot of fun {and lots of headaches} to be so involved with the design and choices on the house. Sometimes I throw it back on Devan and make him decide :) Nate and I are horrible at making decisions and this hasn't changed! It is fun to have these ever evolving plans and such a custom home. Truly OUR home! We are pretty grateful to have found such an awesome contractor!

indian summer

school started but that didn't keep the nice weather away. we started off with somewhat cool nights but totally awesome days! the kids have spent HOURS outside. jumping on the trampoline, playing in the dirt pile, catching bugs, picking raspberries and apples and playing in the tree house are a few of their favorites !
ej loves her homework. this is her writing 0-100 counting by tens. she loves it!

 Menan's Heritage Days-

 ....and Dina Jensen even made sure that emersyn had a part for the Primary Program. EJ memorized her part and was able to do an awesome job with that! The rest of the program didn't go as well. She was upset at me for something so she proceeded to curl up {in the fetal position and STAY there the entire program- minus getting up and saying her part. no standing up. no singing. nothing!}
This girl sure does like to sleep though! this was after a sunday nap together! she is her momma's girl and appreciates sleep!
 September 23 hit and we celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary. we went to dinner and movie {& as cliche as that sounds for a date night.... i HONESTLY do not remember the last time we did that!}. It was fun. Grammy had a party planned for the kids and they had a good time while we were gone.
Nate brought flowers home to me and when I got home from the date, i had these flowers from ej! ;)
