lloyd home version 2.0 rolls on...

{25Sept14}
this was the first wall to be done on the main floor! WaHoO!!!! For some strange reason the engineer at Idaho Falls City didn't like our house plans very much. A couple of things he required : 1) framing 95% of the basement?! {which, no doubt we will appreciate when it comes time to finish it}. 2) Sheet almost the entire house. YES, we have particle board SHEETS on every wall {even on some in the basement}, 3) We had to use a couple different beams throughout the house due to the larger spans between rooms. Just kinda weird, random things that Devan has never heard of. Oh well.

this week were in California but we *kinda* have some awesome neighbors that took pics for us and sent them! It was awesome!

......still at Disneyland getting awesome updates!

We flew home from Disneyland on Saturday, stayed the night at grandma & grandpa's, and on our drive back to Menan we stopped by the house.

I took these pictures to send to family. Then found out mom, dad, and kailey plus kids were headed to Idaho that coming weekend so I made them wait to see the house.

framing getting *extremely* close
 10/17 we got our cabinet specs. this kitchen has been no small thing to try and get put together. I am sure our builder is ready to *kill* me over it BUT (!!!) to my defense, at least i know what i want, right?! haha. there will be windows cut out but we are waiting until we have cabinets confirmed as to where the windows will be :)

 {20October14}
i am so excited to have gotten to this point with such great weather. We've had chilly mornings and lots of wind BUT only 2 days of rain delay {while we were in California}. Hopefully SOON we will get roof, windows, & wrap on so we can weather proof this bad boy!

It has been a lot of fun {and lots of headaches} to be so involved with the design and choices on the house. Sometimes I throw it back on Devan and make him decide :) Nate and I are horrible at making decisions and this hasn't changed! It is fun to have these ever evolving plans and such a custom home. Truly OUR home! We are pretty grateful to have found such an awesome contractor!
