recitals!

Cade and ej had a super fun music class together this year! She really learned a lot and loved Miss Shea. She had a hard time at first getting use to practicing and memorizing songs but once she got the hang of it she wanted to show anybody who came over to the house. They did these really fun puppet shows to different music compositions and each instrument had a different puppet requiring them to listen for the change of instrument and memorize which puppet went with it. She loved those.... she did quite a few of those recitals at home from grammy and gramp when they'd visit.

After the Recital Grandma and Grandpa Johnson took the kids to get ice cream. They gave Rowen a sucker to eat on the way to get ice cream..... and he got so sticky. i just loved this little series of pictures though....

 his hands were so sticky they were sticking to his face!!!!!

 Shortly after her music recital was her dance recital. She was pretty excited about this!

She honestly did SO AMAZING!!! she even had 2 little slip-ups {one where here shoe came un-tied which is a HUGE deal for this OCD girl... and the other was when another little dancer gave her a flat tire and the back of ballet slipper came off... BUT she danced through BOTH of them which is awesome for her. when i saw each of these things happen i thought it was going to be game over for her.... I WAS SO PROUD!}
Grandma and Grandpa Johnson brought this little dancer some pretty flowers!
 Bostyn and Kaylee go to the same studio for dance so we were able to watch their performances as well.
 this time it was shaved ice after....
 This all made for a late night and she was a pretty tired dancer after it all. She fell asleep in the car and then on the couch..... she just couldn't make it to her bed!

She loves dance and loves to make up her own dances. EJ is constantly dancing and singing around the house and it just makes me smile! I am so glad Grandpa and Grandma are able to come watch this pretty little girl in all her activities. I remember MY Grandma and Grandpa Johnson coming to everything we were involved in. My mom jokes that even if we were saying the prayer in primary they were there. It is amazing to think that even though they passed away when i was 6, i remember them being at so many performances. I am thankful that they were able to come while they were still here! I hope ej remembers having her grandparents at her special performances.
