busy, busy, busy.....

october 1 Kailey and McCoy flew in for a week...... AND WE STAYED BUSY, BUSY! with two different nap schedules and eating schedules we really saw a lot of things. they actually flew into columbus, stayed the night with her in-laws, and friday morning i drove down and picked them up. friday we went to Schmidt's sausage house and bakery which was AMAZING! we ordered a 5-lb (practically) eclair that had PB creme- VERY, VERY good. we also ordered soft pretzel nuggets with a really good sweet mustard. they were super crusty on the outside and so soft and warm on the inside...if you ever find yourself in Columbus- we HIGHLY RECOMMEND going there. sunday we headed to patterson's fruit farm and chagrin falls. at patterson's we had THE most SCRUMPTOUS apple fritter! it was warm and chewy with great cinnamon swirls and apple chunks. i am not a huge apple dessert fan but these were to die for! we sampled some YuMmY apples and bought a few. after the farm we did some driving through the country~ and ended up in Chagrin Falls where we walked around the cute, fun shops and looked at the falls. the leaves are just starting to change which was very pretty. we spent some time at the west side market downtown and again, bought some fun foods for dinners and snacks.

we absolutely LOVED having visitors. emersyn loved mccoy and kept trying to poke and touch him. she loves little kids. we had such a fun time. mccoy was a little under the weather but was a trooper. he has changed SOOOO much since we last saw him, which means ej must have as well. man, this living away is so hard for that exact reason. other then that, we are enjoying our time out here. it is really much easier this year and the time is going much faster this year. thank u SO much kailey and mccoy for coming- thank u shawn for sharing your family with us.
