we have had SUCH fun Labor Day's since moving to Cleveland. This year we headed to Pittsburgh. It is only a 2 hour drive.... i CANNOT believe we hadn't been there! it was INCREDIBLE! we had such a good time and we CANNOT wait to go back! we only went for one night and we were able to do LOTS! We left super early and got there about 10am. We checked into our hotel and headed to The Strip. It is a warehouse district that has lots of fun shopping. lots of tourist shops and fresh food markets.... plus lots of restaurants.
we ate lunch at Primanti Bros. we've seen it on Diners, drive-ins, and dives and other shows. They make a yummy sandwich and put coleslaw and fries ON the sandwich.
apparently it was invented for truck drivers making deliveries to the warehouse district. this way they could have their whole lunch in a sandwich and eat it on the road. it was FABULOUS! the coleslaw was more vinegar based than mayo~ SO TASTY!

we walked around downtown while ej napped in her stroller and saw some amazing architect!
crazy building- it was HUGE!
this is how she walks when she doesn't want me to hold her hand...
feeding the nasty pigeons- of course she loved it!
the downtown is SUPER COOL!!! once she woke up headed to The Incline. just a short ride up and down the hillside.
you ride this car:
up this track:
like so:
and this is what it looks like from inside:
and then back down:
i believe it was made for workers to commute from the heights area down to the flats. it was fun~ ej seemed to like it. BEAUTIFUL VIEW of the city FOR SURE!
at the look out on top~
