rowe-rowe turns 2

 IT HAPPENED AGAIN! this little guy had a birthday! as it rolled around i was shocked that another year of this little guy's life has passed! we took a couple pictures as i was rocking him his last night being a one-year-old!

then, the clock struck midnight and he instantly was a two-year-old!!! He woke up that morning and even looked more grown-up!

 and i swear he was dressed at some point on his birthday but by the time we did cake/ice cream he was in his jammies again ;) we had trent, lindsie, dallin, cade, & brooks over for dessert~ he was really funny trying to blow out the candles... and he totally got shy when we sang Happy Birthday!

 he blew out the candles then proceeded to bite into the cake. no need to wait for a slice- he just got after it!

 i will ALWAYS have his birthday Halloween style until he asks me not to! i just think it is so fun!

 Grammy and Gramps birthday package came and Rowen and EJ both LOVED EvErYtHiNg in it!

TWO YEAR CHECK-UP!
Rowen has grown SO MUCH! He has gone from the 12th percentile to the 85th. 85th for height and weight and 99th for head! everything was right in line. he even showed up with a broken big toe. A few days before his check up he knocked a heater over onto his toes. He came cry to me and usually once i acknowledge his bump he jumps down and is game-on. But he kept crying at me and i'd set him down and he didn't move. Finally I realized that he was lifting his foot saying "OUCH". I took his sock off and his poor toes were SMASHED. His big toe was already swollen HUGE and black/purple. Te next morning it was even larger and more colorful. He wouldn't walk anywhere and just stood there with his foot lifted saying "OUCH MOMMA". Seriously broke my heart! Dr Anderson tried to buddy-tape it to the toes next to it but Rowe flipped out and took the bandaid off in two seconds.
He is SUCH a ham and totally cracks us up but he is also SOOOO NAUGHTY! He will get over one naughty phase and then it is right into the next one. He definitely keeps me on my toes!

Rowen & his buddy Porter. Rowen, Porter, & Brooks are going to be such fun little buddies to watch grow up together!

Rowen is saying all sorts of words and loving the ability to communicate. He loves to tease EJ but I think he just wants attention from her. He truly adores her. He loves to hug her and give hugs and kisses at bedtime. He loves when she shares ANYTHING with him. He has become obsessed with Cars, trains, tractors, and Mickey Mouse. He loves to watch Cars, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Oso, and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. He does enjoy The Nightmare Before Christmas with EJ too. He has developed an opinion.... and a strong one. He knows when you aren't understanding him and it makes him even more persistent. He eats a banana every morning. Which is so opposite his personality.... he doesn't like to eat the same food two days in row. Emersyn, however, when she finds a food she likes she can eat it every meal, every day. Rowen, NOT THE CASE. If he eats something really well I naturally think to feed it to him again- no thanks! He won't eat it. Except the banana... and fruit snacks... Who knows??!!??!! He loves fruit snacks. He asks for them all day. He loves to ride his bike. He is becoming ever attached to his cozy. He loves to drive his Little Tikes red and yellow car.... he wheels it all over the basement. He loves to give raspberries on any bare skin he sees.  HE IS CONSTANTLY SAYING "THANK YOU" & "YOU WELCOME". Such great manners, but be prepared if he says 'thank you'.... you better be replying 'you're welcome' STAT! He can count to three and is obsessed with the number 2 for some reason. He refers to himself as "ROWE-ROWE". love it. love him.
