we are freezing here in cleveland!!! current temp is 2 degrees -18 with wind chill, and the night is still young. HOWEVER, don't let that 3 degrees deceive you!!! 3 degrees here is a WHOLE lot colder than 3 degrees back home! when you add in the lovely humidity that cleveland has to offer- it makes the air so cold and so wet! let just remind you that we live in a house that is like 80+ years old with the original windows and NO insulation! the draft in our family room is SO BAD that you can actually see light weighted things swaying! you also get a nice chilled breeaze across your face and back and this frosted breeze blowing in your hair!!!!! it is unreal! add to that the cost of gas heating out here... IT IS UNREAL! let me just give you an example.... take an apartment that is approx. 1,000 sq feet, set your temp at about 64 degrees (which is not all THAT warm) and your average gas bill will be $300+ a MONTH! and that isn't when temps are averaging in the single digits! i cannot believe that they can charge that much to try and keep your family warm!!! and that is how most ALL the housing is here!!! PLUS, our ENTIRE place is wired on 2 whole circuit breakers. so, when we try and run some space heaters to help thaw our bones we are constantly flipping the circuit and end up in the dark! WHAT A WONDERFUL PLACE- huh!?!? i only have two things to say.... BRRRRRR and I WANT TO GO HOME TO THE WEST!! i just hope we can keep emersyn warm when she comes :( atleast i know she is warm inside me!

Your lucky your bill is only 300 wait till emersyn comes along and you have the heat full blast! I think its time to take out more student loans just to pay for your heat!
