can you believe this~ because i CAN'T !

NowThen... 6 months ago TODAY!

this yummy little thing is 6 months old TODAY! i cannot believe how fast times has gone and how much we LOVE her! she makes everyday THE BEST. i look at her and my heart jumps and melts. her smile is so contagious and her eyes so amazing! she is such a happy baby and is so patient with us. we definitely could not imagine life without her. i go to bed every night excited to wake-up and spend the entire day with her. we get so excited for dad to get home from work everyday to play with us. she is so perfect for us. i love being with her and taking her places- even though that requires so much more STUFF & WORK. we love our life with her. we were both SO worried about the sacrifices we would have to make having a baby (i know we are selfish) but i really don't think we've thought too much about any of them. i was especially worried about losing sleep- i LOVE my sleep. but she was such a champ and luckily loves her sleep just as much as her momma. she started sleeping through the night at 7 weeks and from the second night home only woke up once a night to eat!!! nate was super worried about the diapers and the spit-up. he has seripous 'issues' with bodily fluids..... well as i sat down to get on the computer and handed emersyn to dad and she puked ALL down his pants- right on cue, and he didn't even flinch. MY HOW THINGS HAVE CHANGED! he is such a good daddy for ej. everyday and every decision he makes, he has us in mind. she is lucky to have such a smart dad who can teach her so many things... important things as well as ALL his random facts ;) she is such his 'mini-me'! everywhere we go people just die out how much she looks like him.... "a beautiful girlie Nate" is what everyone says :) she even mimicked nate the other night. he was blowing raspberries on my knee and after he stopped she leaned over and licked my leg. they went back and forth about 5 times. when he stopped, she stopped! we were dying we were laughing SO HARD. it is so crazy to me her little mind can process everything that it does! i love when her eyes light up and she gets super concentrated on something. her eyes focus in and maybe go a little cross-eyed sometimes :) and she smiles so big! i love when my face touches her she gives me kisses and buries her face into mine.
here are some updates
*she is sitting up all by herself
*her very first tooth cut through on friday
*her second tooth is starting to swell at the gums
*she loves to 'sing', she is constantly making sweet noises
*she loves listening to music
*loves watching baby einsteins: discovering water
*loves water. loves the tub, the beach, the pool, ANYTHING to do with water!
* loves her 'cozy'
* loves to cuddle
*loves to dance with me
*is eating baby food- green beans are her fav!
* is moving around while she is lying on her back
*just starting taking her headband/bows off today :(
*still smells so yummy
*ej has been to 12 states: Ohio, New York, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Wyoming, Idaho, Utah, Missouri, and California
*went to her first official 'friend' birthday party last saturday
*loves being around family~ she tells me all the time
my biggest fear is that something will happen to our little family. i told nate that if something did- just go ahead and plan on checking me into the crazy-house! i don't think i could function without them. i am so glad she came to us and i was chosen to be her momma forever. i will never get tired of her kisses. i can't wait to watch her grow more and more and experience more and more of life with her. we love you missy!
