"what's she doing now?"

i love this question. this is a question i get asked frequently, especially by my mom, wanting to know what this sweet little thing is doing. they grow and change SO FAST at this age. it is so hard to be away and not have everyone see her new stages of life. while i try to keep everyone updated with text/picture messages i thought i would post on here, at least weekly hopefully, on "what she's doing now".......
~the last few weeks~
*she says " BaBabAbaBabAbaBaBA" pretty much all day. what qualifies as a first word?
* if you hold out your hand she does 'fives'.
*she makes funny noises and laughs at herself.
*she tries to mimic the noises we make with her. i was making a "monster 'rarrrr' " noise and she would do a pretty good version back.
*she 'shares' her cozy with me. sometimes while she is eating she'll hold it up to my face and rub it on my face.
*she pulls (or pulled, one time) her earring out~ OuCh!
*she is actually starting to tolerate her belly and spins around on it.
*LoVeS to stand. she'll hold onto one of my fingers and stand forever. she actually has really good balance. she even takes steps. at this point she doesn't quite know exactly what that means :)
*she was laying on her belly across my lap and grabbed my shirt and pulled herself up.
*eating biscuit/ baby rice crackers and loves them.
*loves other little kids. when she sees another kid her eyes light up and she smiles and giggles and starts talking jibberish to them. she'll watch and watch and giggle and squirms. if they aren't looking at her she makes noises until they do, then she starts laughing :) VERY Social!!!
* and this is my fav- when we say "YAYYYY!!" she does this~

this basket and a paper sack i have in her room filled with toys inside are her FAVORITES right now. she'll pull things out of them for hours.... maybe she thinks she is getting into something she is not suppose to be.... hmmmm!?

*she also is doing this... very well i might add......

it continues to amaze how they pick up on things. she had been working on the sippy cup for a few days and not really 'picking up' the idea and then out of nowhere she is holding it with one hand or two hands taking a drink for as long as she wants. she has complete control of it. same with the clapping. she starts randomly smacking her hands together and then before we know it she is doing a full on clap and associating it with the correct noises. unbelievable!! i cannot believe she is already 8 months old! WOW! she is such a GrEaT best friend to her dad and me! i truly waited my whole life just to be THIS! her momma!!!!
