this year we had three packed days of celebrating
Independence Day.
it started Saturday with a ward breakfast......
which was very YuMmY. I absolutely LOVE our ward out here. such fun people. it doesn't matter who we sit by at any function- we are sure to have a GREAT TIME! the kids had their faces painted, decorated and rode their bikes around, and we ALL ate super tasty food.
we left there, returned home long enough only for ej to take about an hour and a half nap, and then headed to Headlands beach on Lake Erie. it was SOOOO HOT and the water felt amazing. somehow the camera got left in the car and nobody wanted to make the trek out to get it. we went to Headlands the saturday prior as well and we are becoming BIG fans of it!
again, we returned home just long enough for ej to sleep for about 45mins and then were out the door again to see a firework show. we went to the city of Bratenahl- which is right on the lake, and enjoyed their 30+ mins of fireworks. we got out there early enough to cash in on their 50 CENT {is anything 50 cents anymore(?)} cotton candy and snow cones!! we were in HEAVEN!!!
ej LOVED the show. she just cuddle up to me and watched burst after burst of amazing color and loud noise! i think she crawled into bed about 11:30 completely exhausted but was quite the trooper all day!
Sunday brought church- ej dressed in her red, white, and blue.....
...... followed by America's favorite past-time. we went to The Crushers' baseball game and firework show. it was so hot and muggy we left our seats to find a spot on the lawn. again, ej got to bed about 11:45 that night! she did fall asleep in the car on the way home.

monday we went swimming at the Cleveland Heights pool followed by a very scrumptious BBQ with Arden & Amber, River & Celina, Chris & Ashley, and Amber's friend Lindsey!
WHAT A GREAT (and exhausting) HOLIDAY WEEKEND!

I LOVE the picture with EJ and Arden. That is true sympathy. What a darling. It looked like such a fun weekend. I can't WAIT to see you guys!
Look how grown up she is! I still picture her as a little baby! But still as cute as ever!
