funny story about the picture below. the photographer was taking Dallin & Cade's pictures just before ej's. she had them playing with the leaves getting candid pictures. the minute we sat ej down she picked up the leaf and covered her face~ it was pretty funny! she thought she was so clever!
Since her birthday has come and gone... it is about time i do her 2 year update!
*recognizes and identifies all the letters of the alphabet. LOVE to quiz her and hear her pronunciation.
* can identify colors: blue, yellow, black, and red.
* pretty much potty trained. {she just waits for bedtime/diaper time to go #2}
*LOVES to dance and sing. she will twirl and twirl for hours.
*wants to wear a skirt everyday! i think she is getting into dress-up.
* loves Toy Story 3, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and Finding Nemo.
* 36 1/2 inches and 32 lbs
* loves to help cook. she gets her step stool and apron on and is ready to hit the kitchen. this obviously requires more work but i actually enjoy cooking more with my sous chef.
*loves to jump.
* loves to run. the minute nate gets home she'll look at him and put her arms up {like she asking a question} and say "run". they run and run the circle through our kitchen / dining room / hall. the other night they did it for 25 mins straight.
* starting to love to play hide-n-seek.
* favorite snack is applesauce with cinnamon in it. she has some almost every afternoon.
* love to cuddle STILL.
* loves to give Eskimo and butterfly kisses {grandpa taught her}. she has even made up an ear kiss. and we must go through ALL of these {sometimes twice} before she lays down to go to bed.
* she will come up to me through out the day give me kisses on my cheek!
*still takes COZY everywhere. she has started calling it "too"?!?!
*still loves her stand-in diesel dog.
* loves to color.
* likes to pick out her outfits.
* so loves to help! she helps unload the dishwasher and put her clothes away after i fold them. usually i 'll let her stand on her step stool and unload the utensils. she sometimes gets stumped but usually does pretty well finding the "matches", where each utensil goes.
* attitude! when she is upset i tell her to go to her room. she'll run in there and slam the door. the other day she laid on the floor and was kicking the wall!
* loves to 'share' our drinks. apparently my water tastes MUCH better than hers.
* her eyes are still as bright blue as can be and her hair is getting curlier and curlier.
* her curls make for some SERIOUS bedhead in the morning. the other morning i showed her the crazy hair and she started crying and pointed to her hair and said "owie, ouch momma. bow?" haha. my child doesn't ask for a bandaid but instead a BOW!
* she says "OH SHOOT" about a hundred times a day! if something is broken "oh shoot", if she drops anything "oh shoot", if she spills "oh shoot", if her movie is over and the credits start "oh shoot"......it is pretty hilarious!
* she sits in her babydoll stroller and tries to wheel herslef around by pushing the wheels... looks like she is in a wheelchair.
*still loves veggies.
*loves smoothies. i make us one to share a lot of mornings and she loves a) sharing a drink and b) the smoothie itself.
* loves to wear her backpack around.
* will often wear her backpack along with her sunglasses. the other evening we went to the store {mind you it was dark out} and she had her backpack and glasses on the entire time. she got a lot of laughs.
*discovered chapstick and loves to put it on.
* loves playing with friends. she still loves going to nursery and will tell us what she did~ in her "own" words!
* she loves to hold hands. it absolutely melts my heart when we are sitting together and she just holds my hand. she also will come up to me during the day and hold my hand and walk with me wherever i go :)
