Rowen McCoil Lloyd
Things around the Lloyd home are about to change!!!! pink, dolls, ruffles, and bows will now compete with blue, cars, dirt, and all the other stereotypical BOY things. a boy is on his way in October! I really, REALLY have known it was a boy the entire time! this pregnancy has been POLAR opposite then mine with ej's. i was sick~ NOT fun, don't recommend it. ej has pointed to my belly and said 'boy' from the beginning. all the chinese lunar calendars {yes, i do read those. don't act like you DON'T} that said ej was a 'girl', said this was a 'boy'. we also had a semi-sneak peek about three weeks ago. i went to a dr appt {without nate} and i am pretty sure the Dr saw boys parts... i think he didn't say anything because nate wasn't there. my Dr sent me home with an ultrasound.... which i thought was a weird ultrasound pic because it wasn't your usual side profile of the 'bean'. it was a little blurry and i THOUGHT it was a terrible picture. that evening as i was staring at it {for FOREVER} all of the sudden something popped out at me. there were two little leggies, wide open with a PERFECT round thing in between them. i KNEW 110% at that point that there was a little man in there! Nate wouldn't be convinced until a professional told us "boy":) we went to our BIG ultrasound on May 3rd and he wasn't shy. he didn't fully cooperate with the technician and so the appt took a very long time. somehow, i do NOT think that this is the last of him being uncooperative ;) we are excited {i am a little scared a) boy b) two kiddos} for him to join our family. ej is obsessed with babies and i think she will love this guy possibly a little too much :)
Rowen is a name we LOVE and McCoil is a name {we} i am SO, SO, SO excited to pass on to him. My dad's grandfather's {maternal side} middle name is McCoil. I love it, and i LOVED him!!! he and i had a very special relationship. He died when i was only 6 but i remember SO much about him and very specific, vivid conversations. i remember the last time i saw him and i have had a lot of neat experiences with this name. i know that our Rowen McCoil will live up to the legacy. he may even enjoy fishing almost as much as my great grandpa did!
ej came up to my belly yesterday lifted my shirt and said "peek-a-boo rowe". you should hear her talk about "baby-rowe"... she says it in the most adorable way!
