october is OVER!

WOW!!! where did October go!?  so many fun things happened (one SUPER NOT fun thing) and then you blink your eyes and it is gone! i kinda wish October were two months long! especially this year because we have had such KILLER WEATHER! we've averaged around 70 degrees for the high with cool nights. plus, only one day of snow fall which was melted by noon. IT WAS GREAT! 

after working out i often find these two cuddled up in my warm bed!

i came home from emersyn's field trip and my neighbor (Julie Lloyd) had been watching Rowen. when i went to get him she told me she had an awful smell in her house and she had water spraying up (think Old Faithful) from her kitchen sink. well fast forward, i ran home and my kitchen sink was dry and i thought i better check the bathrooms.... i opened the main bath and there was a PUDDLE! the toilets had gone nuts! i called Julie and she checked her bathrooms- SAME THING. apparently the house being built next to the Lloyd's house had their sewer lines filled with rocks when they were excavating. apparently the only way they felt they could get the rocks out was to BLAST them with water.... which can cause some backflow. YUCK! it blows my mind that they think this is an acceptable way to treat the problem! surely there MUST be a way to do it without poo-water back flowing into homes. the roto-rooter guys working on the house came and vacuumed up the water and told me to use antibacterial agents when cleaning.... "Ummmm, that actually doesn't work for me" i replied! i was NOT about to clean up that mess that somebody else made! so after a few phone calls the city sent people out to assess the damage and disinfect everything! what an eventful day!

these two  were LOVING watching Halloweenie movies. they watched Nightmare Before Christmas MULTIPLE times. i think ej gets a littled spooked but she just likes watching them too much to give them up.
