... such a cute line from the show. i started getting really worried yesterday afternoon that the show wouldn't be as good i was i making it out to be. i had SUPER DUPER high expectations and i what if they weren't met!? well, nate and i got home at 11:20pm and stayed up until 1am watching videos on you tube. the show was absolutely AMAZING~ it far exceeded my expectation..... by far!!!! we are in love with it and will definitely be seeing it again. i just wish i could see it with the cast including idina menzel and kristin chenoweth. after about an hour i told nate that kristin chenoweth was Glinda and he was dying! he said that was her to a TEE! he said he thinks they watched her to write the script of glinda :) i loved idina as maureen in RENT. still, the actress' we saw tonight were still amazing and out of this world!!! i have tried to read the book and was unsuccessful but after that i might give it another shot just to be 'surrounded' by the characters again- even though i know the show and book are very different. honestly, i cannot say enough about it.... of course ej and i have been listening to the soundtrack all day (courtesy of you tube) i think ej's fav song is "Popular".

I've read about half the book, and they really are incredibly different. Be forewarned, a lot of LDS people that I've talked to have been really offended by certain parts of the book (sexually-related things).

Ok, I will send you the bootleg copy...so I need your address. Also, do you NOT have the soundtrack?! I can send that to you too...WITH TWO extra tracks. One is a rock version of "I'm Not That Girl" by Kerry Ellis who is my 3rd favorite Elphie. The other is "Making Good" by Stephanie J Block who is my favorite Elphaba....this song was replaced by "The Wizard and I." Yes, Stephanie J Block has replaced Idina for me, who has been moved to 2nd place. (crazy, I know!)
I seriously LOVE Idina, and I couldn't stand SJB's Elphaba.....but the more soundtrack's I've heard of her, and videos I've seen of her, the more I started to love her....I'm now OBSESSED with Stephanie J Block, she's AMAZING! (and she's a so cal girl who started performing at DISNEYLAND!) I still think Idina LOOKS more like Elphaba, but Stephanie's voice is so technically PERFECT, and she can belt like no other!
I'm sending you the link of Stephanie singing "As Long as You're Mine" WITH her husband playing Fiyero.....their performance is seriously ELECTRIC....my all time favorite version of this song!!!!!! Theres a video out there of Idina singing it with Taye Diggs as Fiyero, and their version is just ok compared to SJB's....wait, actually I will send you both links....watch Idina's first and then SJB's. There is seriously SUCH a difference!
