i have waited to post these pictures because i wanted to post the entire table completed.... chairs and all. HOWEVER~ this project has given me a run for my money. i have ran into SO MANY problems. i will never do another 'yellow' project. yellow is such a complex color. the first yellow i had turned out to be way too 'country yellow'. so i went brighter and ended up with golden rod {yikes}. my girlfriend Kara had the perfect color of mustard yellow in her kitchen so i called her and got her paint! it was a life saver! it was as perfect as i thought it would be. i added some black distressing and a top coat...... DONE!
it starts......
our $15 dining table {sans the three leaves}
FINALLY a mustard yellow i LOVE!
here is the distressing:
the chairs are still in the making but i just put the polyurethane coat on the table and was super antsy to post it. so the chairs will come later..... as soon as we decide exactly what it is we are doing with them. i have 4 different paint colors, 3 different chair styles , and 2 different fabrics... so the possibilities are endless at this point- it is just narrowing it down!
this table is fabulous~ it is over 13 feet long with all the leaves in it. we did some research on it and found out was made in 1952. it has so much character and finally- ej can sit at the table with us!!! instead of on nate's lap :) she hates sitting in her high chair when we are at the table. we had a very high, bistro style table that was tiny and just didn't work!

Love the table- you did a great job! Can't wait to see the chairs.
I really love it. It is the perfect yellow. Can't wait to see the chairs. What paint color is that?
How awesome! I love it!!!
Paige I saw this on your porch when I came by. It looks awesome! I love the color. You are daring, I want to do a bright & bold colored project like that but am too chicken. It looks great. Can't wait to see the chairs! If you are still using your high table you should get a high chair that clips on to the side, that's what we did with ours and it made Luke much happier.
Looks great, Paige! Can't wait to see it in 10 days or so!
LOVE IT!!! Good job!
YAY!!!!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE it Paige! I'm SO jealous right now. I know what will be on my "look-out" list now, a table like that. Way to go, I can't wait to see the chairs, I bet they will look awesome too. Great job!
