Mollie's farewell was in Idaho last sunday. Dr England didn't feel comfortable about me going this close to my due date so i packed emersyn and sent her up with Nate and his sister Kate. I have never been away from ej for that long. in fact, i have only spent one night away from her- last year for our anniversary and that consisted of dropping her off at 6pm friday evening and picking her up at noon the next day. So, needless to say i had some mixed feelings about this. i knew she'd have a BLAST at grammy and gramps house and i knew i would have a BLAST getting things accomplished at home. i really felt like it was my final days to get things done before Rowen makes an appearance. it was a nice break for me and A LOT of work for Nate:) he has never been a single parent like that. i missed them, but it was a NICE RELAXING WEEKEND for me! i went to Old Navy {baby sale} and on the way home at 8:15pm i decided on a whim to stop at Nordstrom Rack. usually i am not out that late and after going into one store, taking ej to another is exhausting. i didn't even have think twice about stopping. i didn't have to wonder if she was 'done' running errands. i didn't have to find a bathroom or take a little girl potty 5 times at one store. i didn't have to rush to make a decision, i could compare and line up outfits. i didn't have to chase, corral, bribe, entertain, threaten, or ANYTHING! i just shopped.... and took my time. it was magical!
about an hour and a half into the drive this is the first picture of the week i got~
......with the caption "french fry mustache" :)
later on in the drive she was having a bit of a come apart so kate found a flashlight to give her to play with. a little while later this picture came........
and the following picture was the next day {saturday} where emersyn was in heaven to have ALL the toys to herself! she had free reign on all the polly pockets and barbies and she was in HEAVEN!
Saturday was Menan Heritage Days. there were a lot of fun activities and i barely even got to talk to Nate and ej because they were having so much fun!
What to do with the MASS SURPLUS of zucchini? make them into boats and race them down the canal!
she even got to ride a pony and was in HEAVEN!!!! she is still talking about it a week later!!!
EJ had a blast and i know she was spoiled rotten up there. I absolutely LOVED talking to her on the phone. she had so many stories to tell me and i got the biggest kick out of hearing what she had to say and she explained what was going on there :) i asked her if she wanted to come home but she didn't, she just wanted me to come there! Nate gets an A+ for his efforts. her hair was done both days, her outfits matched, she had bracelets on, and she was clean {from what i saw} WAY TO GO NATE! i know he was exhausted by the time they got home! good thing i was all rested up :)
while nate was up there i thought my water had broken. i spent some of my valuable alone time at the hospital wondering if nate was going to have to make a mad dash home. luckily everything was alright. See, this little boy is already keeping us on our toes :)

We loved having her too, Paige but you are mistaken, she was missing you very much, especially later in the day Saturday. I think she was wishing she could share everything she was doing with you and was unused to not having you right there. I know someone else who was missing you -- Nathan. He was very anxious to blow out of town and get back to you on Sunday afternoon and practically had to drag Katie away so they could go! Sweet huh?
