a SICK, SICK WEEK!

After I got home from my convention the Thursday that Suzy was staying with us, i could tell ej wasn't feeling 100%. Her voice sounded different {swollen tonsils}, she was a little extra whiny, and just acting weird. Suzy did a great job taking care of her the next day but when i got home friday night she was in BAD shape. She was boiling hot and hadn't eaten a thing! Nate ran to the store to get thermometer, fever meds and gatorade. She got worse into Saturday and when her fever hit 105.4 we flew to the Instacare. As always, it is a virus that they can't prescribe anything for so we headed home to wait it out. Sunday Rowen woke up with it and it took almost the exact same course....... day 1-4= fever of 102+, day 5 & 6= mild fever around 100-102, and day 7 ornery getting back to life. AAAAND where they started two days apart we had about a week and a half of VERY SICK kids. EJ missed an entire week of school, dance, and music. Rowen wouldn't let me put him down so there were days i didn't even shower! It was rough-stuff!

Saturday i turned around and saw this adorable thing.... apparently her fever broke and she was freezing. "I am more cold then Frozen". we teased the Elsa froze her heart.
she wanted all the hats and blankets she could find!

these were saturday night before he got sick {mom sportin' the zit creme}.... he has this new obsession with giving kisses on the cheeks.

 then sunday morning hit....
monday was St Patrick's Day and ej was sooo excited for it! I didn't have the heart to tell her.... and she didn't ask until about a week after.
they SLEPT about 20 hrs of the day....

if he held still for more than 5 minutes he was asleep.

their fevers got so high they were seriously hallucinating. EJ woke up at 3am and was worried about Cade. Apparently he had slept over and was walking around outside. She was SO WORRIED and after being up ALL night with her i was exhausted trying to convince her for about 45 mins that Cade wasn't outside getting lost! One day I had pulled Rowen's shirt up to monitor his breathing and i started tickling his tummy. Somehow his arm got out of his sleeve. He looked down at his sleeve and started yelling "oh no! OH NO! OH NO MOMMA! HELP!" All while staring at his limp sleeve. I am pretty certain he thought his arm had disappeared. I helped get his arm  back into the sleeve and he calmed down! " Thank you momma!" . OYE! I was laughing pretty hard!
...this is what my lap looked like for about 5 days straight...
 He fell asleep EVERYWHERE!

This was day 7. She finally felt well enough to want to get dressed.... and she picked out this awesome outfit! Girl LOVES to find a color and see how many clothing items can match it~
..... and this was Rowen's day 7 finally ate some chocolate pudding. I couldn't bribe them to eat ANYTHING while they were sick..... Ice cream, smoothies, popsicles- NOTHING! I did make smoothies with all our yummy fruits and veggies and green smoothie powder.... They'd eat very little of it but at least some nutrients were getting inside them!
SO GLAD that this bug passed and i seriously wouldn't wish it on ANYBODY! It was sooooo rough for all parties involved! Nate stayed home with them that Wednesday and i got a text about half way through the day " My respect to you for all you do" and "Rowen cried for you throughout his sleeping". HAHA..... at least i earned some extra respect outta the ordeal ;)
Grammy and Grandma Johnson were texting all day checking in on the kidlets and ej even shared a bit of hers with Grammy while she was here! My mom offered dinners and help. These 2 ladies are SUCH examples to me of selflessness! I am thankful for these two grandmas helping me raise my babies!
