week 7

week 7 is now finished :) the weeks r flying by and we are getting more and more excited {if that is possible}. this week we got our garage door and our flooring {minus the carpet}. the flooring is SOOO AMAZING! 

 

so funny story with our garage door. to get a door with the little windows in it is an upgrade. we had added a window on the side of the garage so we didn't think it was worth the $ to have more windows. SO, as we were meeting with the interior designer she said that our paperwork showed the garage door upgrade. we told her that we didn't want to pay for the more expensive garage door and she crossed it out. THEN, at our preconstruction meeting our superintendent was going over every little thing on our house and he mentioned that we had the garage door upgrade. again, we said no and he changed it. after that meeting nate and i realized that the "elevation package" that we had on our house included that garage door and that was why it was in our paperwork. we wanted to change the door but we thought where we had already told them no twice that we couldn't change the orders now. SO then this week nate pulled up to the house and THERE WAS THE UPGRADED GARAGE DOOR!!!! i just about died when i saw it! i thought that was so funny! i guess that door was just meant to be on our house :)

kitchen~ it is covered with some cardboard so you can't really see it, unfortunately because it is AMAZING!! it looks like distressed barn wood almost.... is kind of a grey'ish and beige color. the color is called Clay..... it is out of this world! i love it! i am SOOOO glad we upgraded to it and just wish we would have put it more places in our house!
 

Bathrooms/ laundry room~
this is the flooring in the bathrooms and laundry room...... below is our laundry room. at the very bottom of the picture you can see the kitchen wood floors. i ABSOLUTELY love them.
