i cannot believe that almost the entire month of may went by without blogging. i can't even say it was because it was uneventful! may 2012 was the month that we moved in to our NEW HOME! it was really touch-n-go for a few weeks. we had this "rogue underwritter" as it was put by mortgage broker. things we dragging and dragging and we though we were closing "tomorrow at the latest" since we did our walk through april 23. it was exhausting and i KNOW i should write about it for journaling purposes but it is just exhausting and i really don't like thinking about it. BUT we are in and we are loving it! we got the emai on my birthday that we were cleared to close and would NEVER have to deal with that underwritter AGAIN (best birthday present EVER)! the day after my birthday the papers were drawn up and then thursday morning (may 10) we closed!!! best.feeling.ever. everybody kept asking us if we just about died as we signed our life away but to be honest, we were SOOO BEYOND ready to finish this up and get out of other people's timeline's that we really didn't even think twice. it was interesting as we were laying in bed that night nate mentioned that we will have our loan paid off in 30 years.... almost the exact amount of time i had been alive! WOW that seems forever away! but then i will be 60 (yikes) so i am okay with it being FOREVER away! Thursday we finished packing and nate picked up our uhaul on the way home from work. our neighbors came and helped load it thursday night and BRIGHT and EARLY friday moring we drove to Springville to our NEW HOME. unloading went relatively fast.... we finished uploading at about 1pm and 24 hours later we were eating lunch in our totally functionally kitchen. we had so much help and nate and i feel so indebted to our family for helping.
ej and mccoy rode with nate from riverton to springville.
our audience...and moving obstacles while unloading the truck ;)
bare essentials.... emersyn's first night in her NEW ROOM
and this is rowen sleeping the night before we moved... his last night in his bassinet. as i checked on him the first night in his crib, everytime i looked in there he was in a different position and turning in circles all night long- FINALLY some room for him!
i absolutely LOVE how our kitchen turned out..... nate found some great deals on our lighting.... next up to do is our backsplash.
nate has been great to jump right on the "TO DO LIST" and start checking things off. sometimes things don't go as planned or as he would like them too but he is learning and being patient with me!
