FIIIIIIIANLLY FOUR!

sheesh. i almost started thinking we wouldn't make it to Emersyn's 4th bday ;) She has been asking daily if it is her birthday pretty much since septemeber.  we had a checklist of who all had birthdays and what holidays had to happen before it was january 22. in the summer we told her when it was snowy. well, when we got a snow storm in late novemeber she was convinced it was her birthday. we had told her that her birthday was after Christmas, so on Christmas morning about 3minutes into opening presents she paused, smiled, and asked if she was now four?!

we had stuff set out for her and she LOVED wandering into the family room and finding it!

...and a birthday pancake. she sat down and said "a 'Y', thanks mom. I do have a 'Y' in my name....

Then ej had dance so Lindsie watched Rowen while I took her to dance and the we went and got pedicures. I was SOOOO BEEEEYOND excited to take her. I knew she'd flip and love it. Which, she did love it BUT she wasn't so sure about all the different scrubs and lotions they rubbed on her feet.

 After our "girls day" we went home and the two kiddos napped. Then we met Dad and Kate for dinner. We wanted to take ej to Red Robin but she INSISTED in "the salad place" aka Zupas. We were met by Kate with a bouquet of balloons and the workers were really cute to tell her happy birthday and talk with her about her birthday. it was great. PLUS, she got a salad WITH BLUEBERRIES and STRAWBERRIES- her fav!

 shortly after this picture the "4" balloon popped. ej was distraught and started crying, asking if she was still four years old. The second half of the day she really didn't feel well. I seriously think it is the inversion. It is record- high and REALLY bad right now. She actually even got kicked out of dance class and as we left the house for dinner all three of us were in tears... it was a rough day BUT we will focus on the good ;)

BUT NOW, NOW we can say YES YOU ARE FOUR! {and seriously January 23 she told me "it's almost my birthday. I am going to be five". I just about fainted!}

I am SO beyond lucky to be your mom and i am so thankful for you! I am so thankful that you came into our life when you did! i couldn't imagine waiting any longer to be a mom and to start loving you and snuggling you for eternity! I love my little best friend!
