Heber Valley RR turns into the Polar Express at Christmas time. This is something i have wanted to do for years.....and now that we have done it, i actually don't want to do it again for years ;) It was pricey and i wasn't very impressed with high-school-elves that tried to entertain a large group. I guess for the price, there was a lot left to be expected! We did make it to North Pole and we did see the man in red so it served it's purpose, i guess. Rowen was entirely to young to take... note to self ;)
BUT we did have a fun family evening together and THAT is what matters most!
nate came home from work early {that is always a BONUS} and we gave the kids their Christmas jammies early.
we met this cute family there.... too bad the cart was booked past capacity and we couldn't sit by them
we ran into nate's cousins Sylinda and Dwight Lee
Hot chocolate for the boy
this picture pretty much sums up the ride.......
Emersyn telling Santa about the purple ring she wants {she let him know it is at Costco. maybe she is looking out for the Elves... keeping their work to a minimum}
Mrs. Claus {or "the mom one"}giving the kids her chocolate cookie recipe
and after the train ride we went to dinner with the Robinsons at their favorite Mexican restaurant and hung out until WAAAAAY TOOO late at their house! A much better end to the night ! We love their house!

We took the train in Flagstaff to the Grand Canyon (not during the polar express time though) & we are with you. It isn't that exciting & it costs too much. I guess you never know till you try.
p.s. I like the back splash in your kitchen, your curtains, table & chairs.
