weekend STAY-cation

 Kailey was planing on coming down with her kids this past friday to play for the day. Shawn made the suggestion to wiat until he got off work and he could come down and go fishing with the boys at Utah Lake. So when that plan was set Shawn then decided to get Saturday off work , stay the night, and go to a mission reunion in Provo saturday evening. We had SUCH a fun time. Friday we made dinner and headed to the Splash Park with Lindsie and Brooks. We all had a big sleepover friday night. Saturday morning, last minute, we decided to take the kids on a little hike as they were BEYOND GRUMPY due to the lack of sleep. We went to The Grotto in Payson Canyon and the kids loved it. We went last year and we were there pretty much by ourselves. This year it was packed. Luckily we got there early enough that we were able to have some time to play and leave before the MASSES of people started hiking up.

 Then we ate lunch, napped kiddos, and The Ames clan headed to the reunion. After the reunion they came back down and we headed up the canyon to roast s'mores. It was such a hot day and the canyon was abour 15 degrees cooler- IT WAS PERFECT!!!!

 Rowe was hilarious with his s'more. he was a DISASTER! {the 1st picture i LOVE because even though it is blurry you can see the string of marshmellow from his mouth to the s'more}

One of the best parts for us is that from leaving the fire to arriving at our house is about 15 mins! PERFECT SUMMER DAY!
