Idaho Vacation

We needed a get-away....AND we hadn't been to Jackson Hole since we moved from Rexburg in 2007. We had been anxious to go back since we had spent lots of time there prior to moving. SO last week we decided that would be our long-weekend getaway. It happened that Layla and Alix would be spending the week at Grammy's house so we could catch some time with them as well. PERFECT! We went huckleberry picking and did a few other things that Nate and I did over 8 years ago while we were dating. It was fun to relive some of those memories ;)

Friday night Suzy and the girls babysat kiddos so we could go on a date. We headed to Snake bite grill in downtown Idaho Falls then walked around the falls. Again, something else we did about 8 years ago. We first went to the Snake Bite {followed by a walk at the falls} the night before we got engaged. I guess that was our last date while we were just dating..... {awe, cute ;)}

 Lunch was at Bubba's BBQ which was out FAVORITE when we'd visit years ago. Sadly it was a HUGE let. I guess i shouldn't day HUGE, it was good but HONESTLY it use to be SOOOO GOOOD!!! We were kinda bummed about it but most BBQ is okay in my book.

 Then on the way home we stopped in Swan Valley for square ice cream cones. They do make Square ice cream but it just looked so tasty we started eating before we got a picture ;)

 rowen was suppose to be sharing a cone with nate.... but he really ate most of it and if anybody tried to take the cone from him- WATCH OUT!

Saturday was a long day!!! The kids were kinda over it by the time we made it back to grammy's house BUT overall it was a good time. Next time nate and i will take Suzy up on her offer to go by ourselves....or at least sans kids! ;)
